My Approach to Healing

True healing doesn’t happen in just one dimension — it’s not only physical, emotional, or spiritual. It’s all of them, woven together.

As a naturopathic doctor, I’m trained in evidence-based, holistic medicine. But I’ve also come to understand that healing requires more than supplements or lab results — it requires soul. It requires deep listening. And it requires safety.

I work at the intersection of science and spirit, where intuition meets education, and where your body’s symptoms are not seen as enemies — but messengers.

Rooted in the Wisdom of the Body

In naturopathic medicine, we’re taught to treat the root cause — not just the symptoms. But often, the root isn’t just in the gut or the hormones. It’s in the heart. In the parts of us that have learned to hold in pain, to push down grief, or to stay small.

When we aren’t able to feel our emotions fully, that energy doesn’t disappear — it gets stored in the body. Over time, it can show up as chronic illness, anxiety, fatigue, or pain.

Think of it like a garden hose with a kink in it. The water (your life force) wants to flow, but something’s blocking it. My role is to gently help you find where that kink is — and release it.

What Guides My Work

I’m guided by the six core principles of naturopathic medicine:

  1. First, do no harm – Using the least invasive tools to support your body’s natural rhythm.

  2. The healing power of nature – Your body is wise. When given the right environment, it knows how to heal.

  3. Identify and treat the cause – We look beneath the surface to find the real reason for imbalance.

  4. Doctor as teacher – I’ll help you understand your body and its messages in a way that empowers you.

  5. Treat the whole person – You are not just a liver, a gut, or a brain. You are a complex, beautiful being.

  6. Prevention – We don’t wait for things to break — we tend to the roots before dis-ease takes hold.

Beyond these, I work with an important seventh principle: honoring the spirit. Because it’s not just about “what’s missing” physically — sometimes it’s about a dimmed inner light, or a forgotten sense of belonging.

Homeopathy & the Healing Intelligence of the Body

One of the tools I use is homeopathy, a gentle medicine that works with your body’s energetic blueprint. A homeopathic remedy is a tiny dose of a natural substance that, in larger amounts, would cause symptoms similar to what you’re experiencing.

It’s like showing your body a mirror — a small nudge to say, “Hey, remember how to heal this?”

As Samuel Hahnemann (the founder of homeopathy) wrote in The Organon of Medicine, healing comes from the vital force — the spark of life within us that knows how to repair and rewire. Sometimes that spark just needs direction. Homeopathy helps it find the way.

Trauma, Emotion & the Body

As Dr. Gabor Maté says in When the Body Says No, “Illness is not a random misfortune.” I believe many physical symptoms stem from unprocessed trauma and unspoken emotions. When we can safely feel what’s been stored in the body — grief, rage, fear, shame — healing begins to unfold.

Every symptom is like a whisper from your body:

“Something here needs your attention.”

My work is about listening to that whisper before it becomes a scream — and helping you decode what your body is really trying to say.

My Healing Toolkit

No two people are the same, and no two healing journeys are, either. I draw from a wide range of tools and wisdom traditions, including:

  • Naturopathic medicine

  • Homeopathy & herbal medicine

  • Psychedelic Somatic Therapy

  • Internal Family Systems (IFS) & parts work

  • Somatic & nervous system regulation tools

  • Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) & Neuro-Emotional Technique (NET)

  • My Chickasaw lineage & Indigenous ways of knowing

  • Sacred sexuality, shibari-informed somatic healing, and pleasure-based practices

Each session is guided by both clinical knowledge and deep intuition. I don’t follow a script — I follow you. Your energy. Your needs. Your body’s wisdom.

A Compassionate, Collaborative Relationship

Healing with me is not about being “fixed.” It’s about being seen — fully.

Clients often tell me they feel deeply safe in our sessions — safe enough to feel what they’ve been holding for years. Whether it’s grief, stuckness, substance patterns, identity shifts, or feeling numb in your body — we walk through it together, with gentleness and reverence.

I believe symptoms are sacred messengers, and healing is a process of remembrance — of coming home to yourself.

Bridging the Worlds

I’m not anti-medication, and I’m not anti-conventional care. There is a time and place for every tool. My role is to help you feel empowered in your choices — not afraid of them. I often support clients in reducing or coming off medications safely when appropriate, but I also collaborate respectfully with the conventional medical world when needed.

This is about integration, not isolation.

For the One Who Feels Stuck, Disconnected, or Ready to Come Home

If you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, anxious, dissociated, or out of touch with your body — you’re not alone. And there is a way through.

I’m here to help you reconnect with the intelligence of your body, the truth of your emotions, and the voice of your spirit — one layer at a time.

Your body knows the way home.
Let’s listen to it — together.
